What is National Night Out?

It's Americas Night Out Against Crime!

The 26th Annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2009 (for Texas). We cordially invite you and your neighborhood community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2009 team.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
  *  Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  *  Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
  *  Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  *  Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and
      fighting back.

2010 FRISCO NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
Is Moving Back to August!

*** TUESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2010 ***

On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010 (from 6:30 pm until 10:00 pm), residents in neighborhoods throughout Frisco will be locking their doors, turning on the outside lights and spending the evening outdoors with neighbors and police for the 27th Annual National Night Out. NNO is co-sponsored locally by the Frisco Police Department, Frisco Neighborhood Watch and Target Stores. As in years past many neighborhoods throughout Frisco will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, etc., with each party receiving a visit from the police, fire and other city departments/officials.

All block parties must be registered with the police department in order to receive a visit from police and fire department personnel. The 2010 registration from will be available soon.

This year there will be a Safety Expo and Open House held on Saturday, July 31st to be held at the Frisco Police Department Headquarters at 7200 Stonebrook Parkway.  It will include static displays of police and fire equipment, demonstrations from specialized police units, tours of the police department, food and fun for the kids, and much more.  Stay tuned for details.
